How much does it cost to be a member?

Business Ladies Around Harrogate (BLAH) is a Pay As You Go non-membership networking group.  You can pick and choose which events you would like to come to.

Do you only allow one person per profession to attend?

No, we are open to all female business owners and entrepreneurs in the Harrogate area.

Do you allow male business owners to attend?

Unfortunately not.  BLAH is specifically aimed at supporting female business owners and entrepreneurs.  However, we do invite male speakers to present at our workshops so if you are interested in being a speaker then get in touch.

What is the format of your events?

The majority of our events follow a similar format.  Registration takes place between 11:45am – 12:00pm, followed by a 45-60 minute presentation on a business related subject.  We then have a 2 course lunch, over which you will have the opportunity to network.

Do I have to stand up and do an elevator pitch?

No!  We introduce all our attendees at the beginning of the session and then you will have the opportunity to network informally over lunch and tell people who you are and what you do then.

Where do you hold your events?

The majority of our events are held in the upstairs restaurant at William and Victoria, 6 Cold Bath Road, Harrogate HG2 0NA.  On occasions our events may be held at another location and you will be notified of this at the time of booking.

Event booking

Anyone may book on our events – we have a limit of 25 so if the system won’t let you book on, it’s because we are full.  We tend to open up bookings about 4 weeks in advance and will send out emails to all on our mailing list.

I am interested in speaking at an event

We usually plan our programme about 6 months in advance.  We welcome speakers on business topics that will be of interest to working women and those running businesses.  The session is 45 minutes long and we have audio visual facilities if required.  We invite our speakers to join us for lunch at no cost.
